Sales Development Representative - LAX Area

BTX Global Logistics is seeking a talented and driven individual with a track record of success within the global freight forwarding industry. The Sales Development Representative will play a key role in helping the station achieve ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth. This position reports to the Sales Manager-LAX and will facilitate outbound sales activities. Ultimately, this position will support the Corporate sales teams in accordance to the company’s overall strategic goals.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Researching accounts, identifying key players and generating interest
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure, when necessary
  • Scheduling appointments, both in virtual and in person locally in Greater Los Angeles Area
  • Working and managing to build pipeline with Sales Manager
  • Onboard Clients and facilitate regular account management/nurturing activities
  • Meet and exceed targets and goals

Summary of Experience and Education:

  • High School degree or equivalent, and Degree in related field preferred
  • 1-3 years Sales support experience a plus.
  • Three years administrative experience within a Corporate Environment.
  • Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with both local and domestic agents and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior active listening skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

BTX Global Logistics is a global transportation and logistics organization with over 30 regional branches in the U.S. and Canada. The Sales Development Representative will be expected to facilitate outbound sales activities to generate opportunities, ultimately driving revenue growth.
