NAT Operations Agent (Shelton, CT)

The NAT Operations Agent is responsible for the routing, scheduling, and entering the shipment entries of BTX’s National account customers. The NAT Operations Agent will accomplish this by following all department SOPs and using BTX Ship. The NAT Operations Agent may need to work on evenings and weekends on occasion. The hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm EST.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

  • Ensure all freight is routed based on price, department directives, and the customer service requirements.
  • Ensure data entry or customer EDI information is correct and accurate against the BOL.
  • Work within a team to accomplish all the department daily duties.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement in the processes.
  • Assist in truck scheduling for the pickup of National Customers’ shipments.
  • Other related duties

Summary of Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma, and 1-5 years of freight forwarding or similar industry experience.
  • College degree preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
