Domestic Service & Operations Agent (Chicago, IL - ORD)

The Domestic Service & Operations Agent is responsible for the quality of service and profitability of the corporate operations teams in accordance with the company’s overall strategic goals. This position reports to the Domestic Service and Operations Manager and will be responsible for handling Air, Ground, and LTL shipments.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
• Set- up and/or amend shipments based on client directives.
• Obtain competitive and unique price solutions able to satisfy clients requests relative to shipment provided.
• Provide client updates as shipment(s) progress is obtained throughout duration of shipment transit
• Fulfill any specialized requests provided by clients within the expected timeframe.
• Maintain good relationships with vendors and working knowledge of shipper lanes.
• Knowledge of TSA and FMC compliance standards.
Experience and Education
• High School diploma
• No experience necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

BTX Global Logistics is a global transportation and logistics organization with over 30 regional branches in the U.S. and Canada. The Domestic Service & Operations Agent will be expected to aid in the transformational change expected of this organization due to its continual and rapid growth.
