Domestic Operator - DFW

The Domestic Operator is responsible for the quality of service and profitability of the corporate operations teams in accordance with the company’s overall strategic goals. This position reports to Station Management and will be responsible for handling Air, Ground, and LTL shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Courteous etiquette via phone or e-mail interaction to facilitate client service requests in a thorough and expeditious manner.
• Set-up and/or amend shipments based on client directives.
• Obtain competitive and unique price solutions able to satisfy clients requests relative to shipment provided.
• Provide client updates as shipment(s) progress is obtained throughout duration of shipment transit.
• Fulfill any specialized requests provided by clients within the expected timeframe.
• Maintain good relationships with vendors and working knowledge of shipper lanes.
Summary of Experience & Education:
• Minimum of 1 year of operational experience in transportation or logistics, preferred in freight forwarding sector.
• Understanding of TSA and DOT regulations a plus.
• Knowledge of the US ground and airline transportation network and hubs.
• Undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline is highly preferred; however, combination of work experience and education will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Data driven and analytical problem-solving capabilities. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Attention to detail, results driven, organization, and meeting deadlines is critical to success.

BTX Global Logistics is a global transportation and logistics organization with over 45 regional branches in the U.S. and Canada. The Domestic Operator will be expected to aid in the transformational change expected of this organization due to its continual and rapid growth.
