Logistics Track and Trace Specialist - Shelton, CT
The Logistics Track and Trace Specialist is responsible for Tracking/Tracing and Status Updates of shipments moving through the logistics pipeline. This position includes daily communication with vendors and employees throughout the BTX Company through written and verbal communication. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in Transportation Logistics.
Responsibilities Include:
- Tracking and tracing of shipment and status updates
- Cost gathering for pickup and delivery charges
- Proof of delivery entry
- Timely communication with BTX staff as well as vendors
- Assisting with other duties assigned
Summary of Experience and Education Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years of experience in customer service
- Freight-forwarding and logistics experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Interest in Transportation Logistics
- Solid computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Willingness and ability to learn new computer systems
- Ability to perform detail work accurately with short deadlines
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing competing and interdependent tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Must possess interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment
